In 1937, Philip Hoyland, an electrical engineer with a background in radio and communications, moved from Los Angeles to San Diego, seeking new opportunities to continue his work in the field of alternative medicine. His past collaboration with Dr. Royal Rife had already resulted in significant breakthroughs, particularly the development of the Royal Rife Machine, a device that used electromagnetic frequencies to target and eliminate pathogens. Recognizing the potential of further improving Rife's work, Hoyland approached Dr. Rife with an idea for a new invention that would eventually revolutionize the treatment of cancer patients—the BeamRay.
Hoyland, along with partners like Dr. James Couche, a local physician in San Diego who had seen the benefits of the Rife Machine firsthand, and Ben Cullen, an old friend of Dr. Rife’s, set out to develop a commercial version of their device. The goal was to combine the power of Rife's frequency technology with a new delivery method. They envisioned a light-based treatment, one that would transmit the frequencies through light waves to treat various ailments, particularly cancer. The BeamRay would be designed to emit specific frequencies via light rather than through the Rife Machine’s original method of electrical transmission.
At first, Dr. Rife was hesitant to endorse the idea of the BeamRay. He had carefully crafted the original Rife Machine with precise specifications and was cautious about modifying it. However, after considering the potential impact and benefits for patients, Dr. Rife gave his approval. He worked closely with the team to integrate the BeamRay Lamp with an updated version of the Rife Machine. This new system would allow the frequencies to be transmitted through the light in a more accessible, non-invasive manner, expanding the reach and possibilities of frequency therapy.
By 1938, the BeamRay was ready for testing, and the results were promising. Cancer patients who had been treated with the Rife Machine were now exposed to the therapeutic frequencies through light. The use of light enabled a broader and more refined delivery method, allowing for deeper penetration into tissues, a key factor in treating various forms of cancer. The frequencies emitted from the BeamRay lamp included specific values, such as 17.22 kHz, 20.08 kHz, and 28.16 kHz, each carefully chosen based on Dr. Rife's research to target different pathogens and conditions at a cellular level.

The success of the BeamRay was pivotal in the continued evolution of Rife's technology. By introducing light as a medium for frequency transmission, it became easier for patients to undergo treatment in a more comfortable and versatile way. The integration of this technology with the updated Rife Machine opened new avenues for therapy, drawing attention not only from the medical community but also from the public, as people began to see the potential of these innovations. The treatment was, however, still relatively unknown to mainstream medicine, and its use was often confined to private clinics and underground medical practices.
Fast forward to 2025, and the BeamRay Company has brought Dr. Rife's legacy into the modern era. Drawing inspiration from Rife's original design, they recreated the BeamRay Light in two forms: one based on white light and another on infrared light. These modern versions closely replicate the lumens and frequency wavelengths of the original BeamRay. Program 1 of the new system faithfully reproduces the original frequencies in kilohertz, such as 93.5 kHz, 434 kHz, and 739.1 kHz, transmitting them through the lightwaves to offer a non-invasive therapeutic option for those seeking alternative treatments.
The BeamRay mat, a modern device that transmits these frequencies, provides users with an easy way to access the power of Rife's groundbreaking work from the comfort of their homes. The integration of infrared light, in particular, allows for deeper tissue penetration, enhancing the therapeutic benefits of the frequencies. The legacy of Dr. Rife’s vision, which began with the development of the Royal Rife Machine and continued with the BeamRay in 1938, has found new life in the 21st century, offering hope for those in search of holistic and frequency-based therapies.
As the world continues to explore alternative medical treatments, Dr. Rife’s inventions, including the BeamRay Light, remain a testament to his relentless pursuit of a cure for the ailments that affect humanity. The modern recreation of the BeamRay not only honors his original work but also paves the way for future innovations in frequency medicine, showing that the legacy of this brilliant inventor will continue to shape the world of healing for generations to come.
